What exactly is Small Cell Lung Cancer and why it's so bad? Small Cell Lung Cancer is an aggressive (fast-growing) cancer that forms in tissues of the lung and can spread to other parts of the body. The cancer cells look small and oval-shaped under a microscope. Also this cancer is very harmful because it can spread to different parts of the body before it is even discovered.
Recently my great-aunt went into the hospital. She receive radiation and chemo for Small Cell Lung Cancer. She has tumors in her lungs and in her brain. The sad thing about this cancer is that it occurs from heavy smoking. If my aunt had chosen to quit smoking even months ago, she may have had a chance of not getting this cancer. So take this as a lesson.
Wow that is really interesting to read and now I know what to explain to my family members who smoke. I hope your great-aunt goes into remission and heals as much as she can. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteGood topic. There will always be those stubborn people who will NEVER stop. However, you can only help to stop the ones that still have a chance. I can't believe how much money people pour into buying these cigarettes! As my dad says, "Why are you paying for cancer, and then paying to have it removed?" Doesn't make any sense.
